Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026/06/01
Operator: OhayoStudio (Sadou Jérôme / サドゥジェローム), 個人事業 registered in Japan
Contact: pokeibo@ohayostudio.com
App: Pokeibo (the “App”)

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. Where a term has a precise legal meaning under Japanese law (e.g. 個人情報 under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, APPI), that meaning applies.

The App is distributed in selected markets and is designed for use in Japan. It requires a PayPay Card account, which is only available in Japan.

Summary

  • The App processes your PayPay Card CSV statements entirely on your device.
  • Your transaction data — merchant names, amounts, dates, card numbers, categorization — never leaves your device.
  • The App has no user accounts and does not connect to any OhayoStudio server.
  • The App sends anonymous crash reports (stack traces and device model only) to help us fix bugs. These reports are scrubbed of any transaction data. You can disable crash reports in Settings.
  • Payment for the subscription is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). OhayoStudio does not see or store your payment information.

What stays on your device

All of the following is stored only in the App’s local SQLite database on your device and is never transmitted by the App:

  • CSV files you import
  • Transaction records (date, merchant name, amount, card last four digits, category)
  • Card nicknames and metadata you create
  • Group and category names and assignments
  • App preferences (language, theme, selected template)

If you uninstall the App or use “Delete all data” in Settings, this information is permanently removed from your device. No copy is held elsewhere.

What the App sends off-device

Anonymous crash reports. Enabled by default. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy.

When the App crashes or encounters an unexpected error, a report is sent to our error-tracking provider, Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., processed in the EU region). Each report contains:

  • A stack trace identifying where in the code the error occurred
  • Device model (e.g. “iPhone 15”) and OS version
  • App version and locale (ja / en / zh)
  • A randomly generated installation ID that resets on uninstall

Each report is scrubbed before sending to remove:

  • Merchant names, amounts, dates, and any other transaction data
  • Card numbers and card nicknames
  • Group names you have created
  • File paths and filenames
  • Any free-text input

We use Sentry’s EU data region. We do not enable session replay or performance tracing. Crash reports are retained for 90 days.

If you opt out, no crash report data is sent.

Subscription and purchase data

The App uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) to manage subscriptions. When you start a free trial or purchase a subscription, RevenueCat receives from Apple or Google:

  • An anonymous purchase identifier
  • Subscription status (active, expired, in trial)
  • Country of the store account
  • Approximate age range of your customer record in RevenueCat’s system

If you request a refund through Apple or Google, RevenueCat may share your total spend, previously granted refunds, and the approximate age of your customer record with Apple or Google to help them evaluate the refund request and prevent abuse of the refund system. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment information.

OhayoStudio uses this data only to verify subscription entitlement and to receive aggregated revenue reports. We do not contact you using this data.

What Apple and Google handle separately

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google collect their own data when you install, run, and pay for the App, including:

  • Your Apple ID or Google account
  • Payment information
  • App download and subscription records
  • Device identifiers used for App Store and Play Store functions

OhayoStudio does not receive your payment information. We receive aggregated, anonymized download and revenue reports from Apple and Google that do not identify you.

Apple’s and Google’s handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policies: - Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ - Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy

What the App does NOT do

  • The App does not connect to your bank, credit card company, or PayPay account.
  • The App does not read your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
  • The App does not display advertisements.
  • The App does not contain third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs.
  • The App does not sell, rent, or share any user data with anyone.
  • The App does not use your data to train AI models.

Your rights under APPI

Under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), you have the right to:

  • Request disclosure of personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Withdraw consent for crash reporting
  • File a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (個人情報保護委員会)

Because we hold essentially no personal information about you (just an anonymous crash-report ID, if enabled), most of these rights are satisfied by:

  • Using “Delete all data” in Settings to remove local data
  • Disabling crash reporting in Settings (existing reports auto-expire after 90 days)
  • Uninstalling the App

For any other request, contact pokeibo@ohayostudio.com. We will respond without undue delay.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The App contains no advertising, no social features, no chat, and no user-generated content visible to others.

Translation

This policy is published in Japanese and English. The Japanese version is the authoritative text. In case of any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the App’s data practices change. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted in the App release notes at least 30 days before they take effect.
